Mrs. Whittington's Home Economics classes all worked together to make neck pillows and blankets for the Oncology Department for Ferrell Hospital. In the Fall each class made Port Pillows for the Oncology Department. Upon visiting the hospital, nurses and staff also stated they had a need for neck pillows and lap blankets for the patients who are receiving treatment. For some patients, it is a long day in the infusion chair and anything that would make it more comfortable for them, the classes were up for the task. Students cut out patterns, sewed, stuffed and wrote encouraging notes on each item. We are so fortunate to have such a nice hospital in our town and want to help out in any way we can.

Eldorado High School will be dismissing early on Monday, January 10, 2022. EHS will be dismissing at 12:05 pm Monday to let our students and staff attend the visitation and funeral of EHS Senior Austyn Hopkins. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬. Buses will run for EHS Students that need transportation after school is dismissed. Eldorado Schools will be offering free COVID-19 testing today for any of our Eldorado School students and staff. If your student is having any symptoms of COVID-19 (like fatigue, sore throat, body aches, or fever), or would like to be tested by our school staff before returning to school, we will be offering free testing. Testing will be today at Eldorado High School from 2 - 5 pm in the high school bus lane. This will be drive thru testing and a parent or guardian will be required to fill out testing paperwork. The purpose of this testing today is to help identify any students who are having symptoms BEFORE they return to school tomorrow from the long break. As always, we appreciate all of the help we get from families and the community in helping to keep our students safe and in school.
