The Eldorado Community Unit School District #4 is proud to announce that all students will once again receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2025–2026 school year. In addition, the Eldorado School Board has voted to waive book fees for all students for the upcoming year.

These initiatives reflect the district’s continued commitment to removing barriers to learning and supporting the academic and personal well-being of every student.

The waiver of book fees ensures that all students have access to the materials they need to succeed, regardless of financial circumstances. By eliminating these costs, Eldorado CUSD #4 is fostering a more inclusive and equitable learning environment.

The free meal program is made possible through the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows schools to provide nutritious meals to all students at no cost. This program helps address food insecurity and supports student health, ensuring that no child has to learn on an empty stomach.

“We are committed to providing all students with the tools they need to thrive,” said Cody Cusic, Interim Superintendent. “By continuing to offer free meals and waiving book fees, we are investing in the success and well-being of every student in our district.”
