Mrs. Whittington's Home Economics classes all worked together to make neck pillows and blankets for the Oncology Department for Ferrell Hospital. In the Fall each class made Port Pillows for the Oncology Department. Upon visiting the hospital, nurses and staff also stated they had a need for neck pillows and lap blankets for the patients who are receiving treatment. For some patients, it is a long day in the infusion chair and anything that would make it more comfortable for them, the classes were up for the task. Students cut out patterns, sewed, stuffed and wrote encouraging notes on each item. We are so fortunate to have such a nice hospital in our town and want to help out in any way we can.
